색연필은 주로 다양한 색을 그려내는 보조적인 도구로만 사용되어 왔다. 하지만 알록(ALOC)의 디자이너 김동휘는 색연필이 이런 고정관념보다 더 개성있는 역할을 해낼 수 있으라는 생각에서 오브제로의 색연필 ‘치키(Cheeky)’를 만들었다. 색연필은 자유로운 책상 위에 머물며, 자신의 생김새만으로도 주변의 채도를 높여주는 능동적인 역할을 할 수 있게 되었다.

Color pencils have been used primarily as supporting tools for drawing a variety of colors. But, We thought colore pencils could play a individual role than usual. Cheeky is a color pencil that has been recreated as an object. Now color pencils will live on the desk. And It can play an active role in changing the mood around itself. at the same time, it can also
act as a color-painting function.
