‘서울팝 시리즈’는 디자이너 심종후가 바라보는 ‘서울’이라는 도시의 이미지로부터 시작되었다. 쉴 새 없이 움직이는 자동차, 수많은 건물들이 이루는 야경의 다채로운 색과 형태로 이루어진 서울은 ‘불규칙함을 담은 정형적인 도시’라고 생각했고 이 매력적인 모티프를 가구에 재해석했다. 지승공예에서 영감을 받아 목봉 등에 여러 가지 색상의 실을 감아내어 색을 입히는 방법을 이용해 작품의 공예성을 부각시켰다..

The Seoul Pop Series started with an image of the city of “Seoul” where writers could find it. The colorful colors of the night view made up of cars moving without any time to rest and many buildings. The author reinterpreted the attractive motif on furniture, thinking Seoul was a typical city with irregular figures.
