디자인 브랜드 웬아이워즈영(Wheniwasyoung)의 ‘My Own Book’ 시리즈는 해외의 오래된 서점에서 발견한 페이퍼백(Paperback) 형식의 교과서와 실용서에서 아이디어를 얻어 기획되었다. 1940~1960년대의 북디자인에서 영향을 받았으며, 볼드한 서체와 조형적인 그래픽이 특징이다. 규격과 재질까지 그 느낌을 재현하고자 했으며, 각각의 노트마다 주제를 던지고 하단에 ‘Written By.________’라는 공백을 두어, 마치 사용자가 주제에 맞게 책을 집필하는 느낌이 들도록 디자인했다.

‘My Own Book’ series are notebook designed with ideas from paperback-type textbooks, practical books found in old bookstores overseas. It was influenced by book design in the 1940~1960s, and features bold typeface and sculptural graphics. Each has a theme, and an empty space to write its name. So it is hoped that users can use it like a book.
